Island Peak, also known as Imja Tse 6,189m/20,305ft which is located in Sagarmatha National Park (EVEREST REGION), eastern part of Nepal.  From Dingbuche as it seems like an island surrounded by a sea of ice, it is so called Island Peak. Island peak was first climbed in 1953 by a British expedition group that included Tenzing Norgay who along with Edmund Hillary became the first ever to climb Mount Everest.

Our expedition begins from Kathmandu then take a flight to Lukla. From Lukla, we trek to Phakding then to Namche Bazaar. We take an acclimatization rest day in Namche and trek further on to Tengboche then to Dingboche and eventually we reach to Chukkung. On the 9th day of the expedition, we summit the Island Peak. We can have a glorious views of Ama Dablam, Makalu, Baruntse and Lhotse along with a gorgeous spread of the Khumbu Himalaya from the top of Island Peak. Furthermore 16 Days Everest Base Camp Trek offers wonderful high mountain views and chance to experience local Sherpa culture, a world famous mountain climbers. We trek inside  Sagarmatha National Park, a world heritage site. Our professional Sherpa guide will lead you to the base camp of the Mount Everest. Of course we do not miss climbing Kalapathhar to admire the panoramic views of Mount Everest and other surrounding great Himalayas.
